LIFETIME WARRANTY
At MERLIN, we design our products to perform reliably on stage, in the studio, and wherever music is made. Our commitment to quality does not end when a product leaves our facility.
Every MERLIN product is backed by our warranty and after-sales support.
EFFECTS PEDALS — 4 YEAR WARRANTY
All new MERLIN effects pedals are covered by a 4-year limited warranty from the original date of purchase.
This warranty covers defects in materials, electronic components, assembly, and workmanship under normal and intended use.
If a covered defect occurs during the warranty period, MERLIN will, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective component or product without charge for parts or labor.
TUBE AMPLIFIERS — LIFETIME ELECTRONIC CIRCUIT WARRANTY
MERLIN tube amplifiers are built for long-term serviceability.
Every new MERLIN amplifier includes a 1-year comprehensive warranty, covering manufacturing defects in materials, workmanship, hardware, and electronic components under normal and intended use.
After the first year, the electronic circuit of the amplifier remains covered for the lifetime of the original owner against manufacturing-related defects. Covered lifetime electronic-circuit repairs include parts and labor.
Vacuum tubes are covered for 90 days from the original date of purchase, reflecting their naturally consumable nature.
After the 1-year comprehensive warranty period has ended, the lifetime electronic-circuit warranty does not extend to vacuum tubes, transformers, speakers, potentiometers, switches, jacks, or other mechanical or wear-related components.
WHAT IS COVERED
During the applicable warranty period, the MERLIN warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials, electronic components, assembly, and workmanship when the product has been used under normal operating conditions and according to its intended purpose.
Warranty service may include diagnosis, repair, replacement of defective components, or, when repair is not practical, replacement of the product at MERLIN’s discretion.
Coverage is subject to the warranty period and component-specific limitations described in this policy.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
The warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear or cosmetic deterioration resulting from regular use
- Damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, improper storage, liquids, fire, excessive heat, moisture, or other external causes
- Damage resulting from incorrect power supplies, incorrect mains voltage, power surges, or improper electrical connections
- Damage caused by unauthorized modifications, alterations, repairs, or attempted repairs
- Damage resulting from incorrect tube installation or improper bias adjustment
- Damage resulting from operation contrary to the product’s instructions or specifications
- Damage occurring during transportation after the product has been delivered to the customer
- Lost or stolen products
- Products with removed, altered, or illegible serial numbers
Normal deterioration of consumable or wear-related components is not considered a manufacturing defect.
MODIFICATIONS & UNAUTHORIZED SERVICE
MERLIN products are designed as complete electronic systems. Unauthorized modification or repair can affect their performance, reliability, and safety.
Warranty coverage may therefore be refused where a failure or damage has been caused by an unauthorized modification, component substitution, repair, or attempted repair.
For tube amplifiers in particular, internal servicing should only be performed by qualified personnel due to potentially lethal voltages present inside the amplifier, even when disconnected from mains power.
WARRANTY ELIGIBILITY
Warranty coverage begins on the original date of purchase.
The warranty applies to the original purchaser and is non-transferable unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Products purchased directly from MERLIN Musical Electronics or through an authorized MERLIN dealer are eligible for warranty coverage in accordance with these terms.
PROOF OF WARRANTY ELIGIBILITY
To request warranty service, the customer must provide the product serial number and proof of purchase from MERLIN Musical Electronics or an authorized MERLIN dealer.
Acceptable proof of purchase may include an invoice, electronic invoice, order confirmation, authorized dealer sales receipt, or a verifiable purchase record held by MERLIN Musical Electronics.
A brief description of the problem must also be provided. Photos or video may be requested where necessary to assist with diagnosis.
Original packaging, warranty cards, and other printed materials are not required for warranty eligibility.
For lifetime electronic-circuit warranty claims, the purchase record must identify or allow MERLIN to verify the original purchaser.
